If you like real ale then turn left out the station, walk up into town turn left as you pass last orders ( unless you've no taste buds then you can go in there) walk into the church grounds keeping church on your right, you will then see the anvil, in my humble opinion the best real ale in town centre. Boulivard and moon under water are alright.

Loads of places once you get out of the station.

Crate of beer is the best for Wigan away.

Not sure about where im drinking in wigan.... But im starting in the Rodney at 5

Sam's bar isn't far from the ground. It is always full of fans and a good atmosphere before and after the match!

last time i had a drink in wigan was non match day last year

swan and railway was a good pint of ringwood. berkerley same as northern west station was ok but the moon spoons good pub and the anvil mention in camra national beer guide. avoid harrys bar and last orders no real ale and poor pubs
