I rate Tony Smith as a coach but as an Australian coach who's been in hotseats for 10 years now he would of got a job in the NRL if he was as good as some people on this thread are suggesting IMO

Would you say then that Brett Finch, who played 250 odd NRL games at top clubs, and won a Grand Final, has proven himself to be better than Lee Briers?

obviously you're a well respected poster.... and quite rightly... but i don't see where this argument is heading after that riposte.

You forgot to mention Finch's match winning Origin appearance.

Skills wise; Briers for me. Consistency; Finch.
