I like the idea of making the stadium more colourful, commend the effort but at the end of the day, flags don't sing, clap, chant.

Can I ask a serious question. Who honestly really cares if the Wigan fans are trying to make their all-round experience more colourful? So what if they're using a name that's synonymous with scumbag behaviour? The way I see it, so long as I can still go to the DW Stadium and not end up being fearful of getting a kicking for no other sin than simply not supporting their team, then I actually don't give a *£$%

Me. Wigan fans are bell ends, they're arrogant and forever banging on about how good they are. First it was the 18th man crap, now this Ultras rubbish just adds to the mockery. It's more than just 'making the stadium colourful' and you know it is. If it was just that, they'd make flags and take them to the ground and that would be that, but they don't, they give themselves a tag, 'Ultras', the tag football fans use to describe the nutty supporters, the type of supporter that is generally intimidating.

If we had a group of supporters that named themselves the 'Warrington Ultras', I would expect the p*ss to be taken out of them, as that's what rival fans generally do, it's banter.

I guess I'm in the minority then because I label fans as being bellends when they actually act like bellends, not when they are simply trying to drum up a bit of activity within their own fan base and aren't bothering other teams' fans with whatever they're doing. I wasn't even aware of the 'Ultras' thing until it was pointed out in this thread.
