Is this due to an accident, or is there some work going on between the junctions, if its an accident I would assume it may be cleared by tomoz, any update would be appreciated

All clear so nothing to worry about now.

We had the misfortune of been caught up in this today and were fearful of what it might mean for fans coming down this weekend.

The whole area was gridlocked.

Turns out there was a major car fire in the tunnel section by Newport that at its height had over 20 appliances there.

The westbound section between junction 24-28 was closed from around 11-00am to not long after 2-00pm
