Glad I'm not the only one.

Decided to avoid town as currently unwell, so we waited on Manchester Road (near Chevies) amongst a lot of other poeple. Chevies appeared packed and people were outside the car sales place sitting on the wall.

We turned up at 4pm. We knew we were early but didnt want to be late - there appeared to be a large crowd already there so god knows how long they were waiting. When the bus finally arrived at 5pm, it was a bit of an anti-climax. It just drove, slowly, past us. I saw about 6 players. No idea where the rest were but I can make out lots of coaching staff etc from the little photos we have. No sign of the cup either.

There were some rough uns out on Sunday. There was an old fella next to me who must have been late 60's/early 70's. He didn't know the name of our coach but then went on to to tell someone how we have turned ourselves around, it was all down to the drinking culture after all. He then made his way down the road, returning a few minutes later to tell someone that he'd tried to climb some scaffolding for a better view but couldn't climb up.

Our very creepy neighbour from across the hallway was bizarrely at the homecoming on Sunday.
