| When im lying on my death bed, a long long time from now hopefully, I think it will be on my mind that I never saw us win at Knowsley Road. I'd love one last go at them there. It's only a patch of Grass at the end of the day.

| Its not the grass that beats us, its the St helens team of kids / old buggers who turn us over no matter what

| Easy answer, 2nd. Why on earth would I want us to finish 3rd and play Saints at KR?
We've got more of a chance of beating them at the HJ, but there is still a very slim chance of that. Anything else is just playoff suicide.

| I'm sure this will have been said on here before but I'm not trawling through every thread so I'll ask now:
If, for example, we finish second but lose at home to Saints then beat whoever we play from positions 5-8 at home the following week then find ourselves playing Saints again in week three, would we by at home due to our higher league position or would we have to go away because they beat us in week one?
Assuming Wigan win their first match then select the lowest ranked opponent for week three then there's a very good chance it will be Saints twice for us, and although I'd love nothing more than to win at Knowsley Road in week three, home advantage would definitely help us.

I would like the chance to give them a good stuffing @ the old place before the wreckers move in as well!

Thats a very good point,so many going down the nostalgia route of wanting to play at KR would this now change some peoples minds,BUT i guess it could equally be the same for saints if we finish 3rd and beat them would they have to come to HJ.surely someone knows the answer to this.

| Thing is, if we finish third but go there in week one and win then lose to them in week three how bittersweet would that be?
If we win at Knowsley Road in week three it will be better than the last two Challenge Cup semis, Wembley 2009 and any victorious final this year all rolled into one for me.
The years of suffering mean yes, it really would mean THAT much.

| Got to be second place IMO. Would prove we have been the second best team in the league rather than third plus get the home advantage.
Why any Wire fan would want to go away to KR instead of playing at home is beyond me, each to their own though.

No...lose at home in week 1 and you lose home field advantage in week 3

| Fair enough.
[iIf[/i we have to play at Knowsley Road again I want it to be week three so we can shut the tip down with my little fantasy scenario above (or alternatively just get beat as usual).
I don't want to play there in week one so let's have second place please lads.
