i went from an iphone to an htc desire and it's light years ahead.

the iphone 4 is a lovely thing, but for me android is better, and more flexible

blackberry is a poor relation that these two

I had a touch HD before the Desire, touch HD are a very good phone but not a patch on the Desire.

jailbreaking was the big thing pre app store.

these days the only real advantage is ssh or terminal

both of these are easy on a stock htc desire.

btw i'm on a t-mobile phone, no idea if its locked or not tho

the text interface is way way better and kills an iphone dead even the iphone 4
