I was in that end and I saw three plastic glasses with beer in them were thrown. There was banter (which is great) but throwing beer or any object is not on. The stewards were useless. Saw a few people "in conversation" with the stewards and police after the game.

Problem we all have is a lack of respect in society, in so much that people will often ignore even the most reasonable request from a steward, never mind when that situation becomes inflamed through excessive alcohol.

It will become an issue when the stewards need to be replaced by an increased police presence, and we all have to pay the additional cost.

Whenever i've been to Knowsley Road there are usually a few saints fans in the away end...

last night i was sat in the north stand, and was surrounded by st helens fans, which at the start of the match was fine, but after 15 second and our first penalty i was being abused by some large lout behind me, his attitude was disgraceful and for me to feel worried in my own stadium about being hurt, as at one point he threatened to hurt me pyhsically. The man was around 39/40 and i am only 19, i said im not being abused in my own stadium and he said to me, just wait until you get outside then and see what i do to you.

i dont mind being surrounded by saints fans... or even being taunted as he would never have the cajones to do anything, my problem is, how is a team with so much success, followed by such bitter and twisted fans. never will i hate wigan as much as st helens for that very reason, and i really hate wigan! granted not all of them are like that, but a very large majority!

did you report that to a steward?

it was right at the end of the game mate, so i just laughed at him and walked away... wound him up much more than rising to the sad get!

Fair enough the fella in question was undoubtedly a bellend but a grass is just as bad.

B####cks!!!! The poster said that they felt physically threatened. The next spectator might be a 35 year old whos had one to many who decides to do something about it there and then causing other innocent fans to get caught up in the agro or (as in the case of my daughter) a 17 year old North Stand season ticket holder female who feel so threatened they end up leaving.

People are very quick to critise the club and the steards of not doing anything about this that or the other, BUT, if they aint told about it what are they meant to do.

Must admit , cant see how you could have been promised this. There is no mechanism that I am aware of for finding out what team a person who walks up to the ticket window and purchases a single or group of north stand tickets supports. As many said in the run up to the game, it was easier for a number of saints fans to acquire tickets from the HJ as they work in/around Warrington.

As regards your orginal issue..TELL THE CLUB ABOUT IT.
