I've no shame in saying we were beaten by the better team tonight easy to say, it makes the rest of the season very interesting, i still think (hope) we will finish top and bounce back



I thought Paul Wood was absolutely oustanding for you lost tonight he has a crackin step on him for a prop my heart was in my mouth most times he had the ball!

Long way to go yet before we can even start thinking about the GF. I just hope our defence has turned another corner and sorted itself out - I personally think that we benefited from the conditions as it limited how much wigan (and wire) could throw the ball about (although take nothing from our defensive effort)

Very well done to you. After 20 mins I thought we would go on and win, though I knew you would get some quality possession at some point.

Both teams made too many basic errors even if in wet conditions, except you capitalised on your territory and our mistakes a lot better than we did with yours, and you didn't play desperation rugby from early on.

We missed Coley massively tonight, your pack was too big and strong. But still, two evenly matched teams and if we ever gain the intelligence to cut out the idiotic mistakes, watch out!

nice to see a post like that after all the banter leading upto the game,i personally like to thank most the fans i was sat with right in middlle of east stand.i felt like a fox in middle of a pack of hounds especially as i was sat there with my wire shirt on,but the banter with the ppl around me was all good fun except for 1 cry baby behind me,thanks for a good night

Funny how opinions can differ, a lot on here have said this since last night yet most of the people stood near me in the North Stand last night were continually commenting that his kicking had been poor all game.

I'm also not sure about the whole "our forwards smashed Wigan's" thing either, I know our guys got some great hits in (Harrison and Anderson in particular!), but from where I was stood it felt like Wigan were making more ground forward than we were in each set, although that could have been the pessimist in me coming out .... the opta stats for the game would be interesting reading if they were available anywhere.
