The 2009 Carnegie Challenge Cup Final was the most eagerly awaited in years as the Wolves and Giants defied the odds to reach a packed Wembely in late August.
Warrington's victory over cup kings Wigan Warriors, meant a real fairtytale return for coach Tony Smith in his first season in charge, whilst Huddersfield's thrilling semi-final success ended St Helens' long stranglehold on the competition and marked a first Wembley appearance for the Giants since 1962.
