These pages, every so often, turn into a lynchmob attack on individual players. We currently have a thread on Clarke. Not many years ago it was Wainwright. Why must certain supporters have a scapegoat. I used to stand near one such prat at the back of the South Stand (late 20's early 30's, gelled brownish hair, gold necklace, no chin....you know who you are). Whenever someone made a mistake, you got the usual " oh flippin eck (sp) Wire", yet if Penny knocked on, it was armaggeddon. The Wakefield game before the CCFinal, I'm sure he was one s
shout away from a heart attack.
Stop the bullying (cos that's what it is) of our TEAM (Clarke, Penny, Forster, Wainwright, Fieldhouse to name but a few over the last 30 years), or we'll end up sounding like embittered Pie Eaters (see their unappologetic harrassment of Mathers for 2 years)'"
Because I didn't go to the game and there is only 3:30 of highlights on our game
It goes in cycles, The Wainrights and Clarkes etc, they both had periods where it was cool to support to them again after they had taken all sorts of abuse. As I have stated before, I watched the highlights to see Kev play, I watched out for him and what he was doing, it was lethargic and lack-lustre the majority of the time in those highlights. I regularly watch his highlights on youtube, he can do some incredible things. Watching his break against Cas for Quins up the middle of the park I got excited about the prospect of him all over again. However, against Wakey, he was bad, very bad.
