| the beauty of the salary cap is that it doesn't matter.... yes we splash out occasionally on some transfer fees but all the big clubs abide by the same wage bill.

But if you said best business Wire and Leeds would be about level , we have the better stadium and don't owe any money on it so we might just pip them, if Leeds lost carnegie as sponsor they would be in deep dodo where as if we lost Moran we would still make money !'"

| It wouldnt matter if Wakey had Abramovich as owner. Other than fund them a new ground and spend up to the cap what could he spend the money on?
To look at real wealth as a club surely it means profitable (as any idiot can chuck money without gain), I'm sure I've heard that only two SL clubs make a profit over the years - Leeds and Hull FC.
In our Whelan days our losses were approx 500k pa, due to spending up to (and over) the cap, no sponsorship gain from JJB as shirt sponsors, transfer fees, lack of merchandising income..etc. Since IL came in he has reduced our losses to about 150k (we did spend 100k on Gleeson), we also slowly have improved merchandising and sponsorship plus we have a superb rental agreement with the Stadium Company. We should be looking at break even / small profits year on year, that's without any prize money that may come our way.
