| I strongly believe that a rule change is required regarding what went on toady. Riley was binned for holding down in the tackle. However, Gillmore was putting the chicken wing on which could break a shoulder joint and he got put on report. Potentially we could have lost a player through injury because of this and they are able to carry on with 13 on the field this week knowing that if the player is banned by the RFL then another steps in next week. I am aware of substitutes but we would still be a player down. Where do we as the team with the injury benefit from Gilmore and others going on report. If its good enough to go on report its good enough for a ten minute binning.

| The report system is in place for when a referee or his officials cannot see an incident clearly enough to 100% sure that the offence took place. A penalty will be given because they know something happened they just don't know exactly what. Yes it is fundamentally flawed in application and with referrals & citing is largely redundant, and it is often seen as a cop-out by the ref. Myself I would be happier to see referees back their convictions, but the other side of the coin is if an offence does not warrant a yellow or red card yet one is produced that unfairly punishes the team down to 12...

| To be fair Gilmour isn't usually one for fowl play, so you can see why it went on report.

| He may not usually be one for fowl play [honk!], but as for foul play, today saw Lee Gilmour penalised for:
A high tackle that prevented a clean break
A chicken wing tackle for which he was placed on report
A grapple tackle which was given by the linesman
Another grapple tackle - literally seconds later - that finally saw him sin-binned
His first act on returning to the pitch: Gives away a penalty for interference...
Not his best day at the office...

What a joke this man was. Why oh why didnt their coach get him off the pitch????
He was a liability.
