The pro speed drivers.

basic physics. Mass and speed > the greater the speed , the harder the impact of any collision.

The chances are, hitting someone at 20MPH there is less chance of killing someone than at 30mph and so on.

Moreover, as some folk are keen to blame pedestrians/kids - yes, adults and kids step out into the road without looking, but if you are not speeding you have more time to react and avoid a collision. icon_frustrated.gif

I read somewhere (i'll try and find it) that driving your car in top gear at 50 mph was the most efficient way of driving.

Lets raise it to 50mph everywhere, it'll keep the Greens happy icon_wink.gif

Or they could come up with a proper public transport system so that I don't have to drive behind idiots who drive far too slowly and have no spacial awareness.

This public transport stuff is hocum. I prefer my car because I can come and go when I please. The best public transport system in the world cannot, by definition, give me that. Yes, it is selfish but that is the nature of the universe. An awesome public transport system would help massively, but you'd still get people like me preferring his car.

Quote: SLIMply the best "where did you get that from? the threshold for alcohol roadside is 35, if your near that they will take you to the police station for a follow up test, the roadside test is just an indication that you may need a follow up test and is not admissable in court.'"

Slimply the best, I said they charge on 40. Believe me, I do know what I'm talking about.
