I still think that without Briers we miss something goin forward. I believe that with Briers back we may cause more of a threat because then we would have Myler and Briersy combining with Monas and higham interchanging the bench. Also Grix is useless at the halves.

even if he was fit i wouldnt of played him ,, i dont think we need him to beat wakefield ,, we have a busy easter coming up against salford and hull so i would rather rest him for friday and play him during the easter games rather than playing him on friday and injuring the ankle even more

I think it will be a tough game without Briers friday. Wakey are a decent side with some quality players! Looking forward to it though. Come on the Wire!!

Yes but this is one we should win. We have a really good squad, we appear to prepare well for matches, our defence has been excellent this year and we know how to score points. Without Briers (4 games), we have scored 21 tries plus the ones in the Wigan game after he went off (2?). We have conceded only 10 plus however many it was in the Wigan game after he went off.

If this was a couple of seasons ago or even at some points last year, I'd have been backing Wakefield. It was exactly the kind of game we used to lose; followed by headlines like, 'Paul Cooke's mom debut, Sam Obst runs riot'.... I can see it now.

But last friday aside, I think with Briers or without Briers, we won't let this one slip.
