Last time I followed the road from the Hight Street, through Winwick Road, up to past the Swan, and then followed Winwick Road all the way up to the roundabout at LA Bowl, then basically walked almost the full length of Cromwell Avenue up to the Waterworks, Right into Canons Road, and then all the way down until our estate.

That's the best way, keeping to the main roads and the lights. However, the maud has now thrown a spanner in the works by saying she'd pay for a taxi. Does she not know I'm on a health kick?? Heh heh!

I wouldn't know the way from Newton to Sankey having only been there (Newton) a few times in 1997 and that's it but I remember it being further away than an hour and fifteen minute walk unless you're very fast!

I've walked from St. Helens to Sankey a couple of times around the same period so my memory is vague but I think it took about two and a half hours.

I always walked to home games (at Wilderspool) when I lived in Sankey (near the Butcher's Arms) and that took about an hour.

It's a two hour cycle ride from where I live in Manchester to home games now and that's by far the best way to get to games in the summer.
