| I think I can appreciate both really, forwards can win you the game with their go forward and effort but the backs, more often than not, win you the game with their attacking play.

| very rarely will a back win the game for you if they don't have field position which the forwards create. i played stand off, and its the hardest job in the world if you are on the back foot. you need someone to make those hard yards if you want to win the game. thats why i thin the signing of moz has been the catalyst this club needed. he's given us more impetus than any forward since the good old days of the mid 80s. getting him in was on e of cullens biggest coups.

| Does anything lift the crowd more than a prop breaking a tackle, shrugging off two or three defenders? Perhaps only a forward putting in a massive hit and flattening an opponent who loses the ball...

Yep that's uplifting but my personal choice is when there is a show of skill, footwork and pace from a back. Davies, Blake et al were worth the entrance money alone.

| And what about Bridge last weekend? His skill to set up, I think Solomona's try, was sublime.

Indeed it was. I was left wondering why he didn't seem to get much of a mention in the MoM poll. I thought he had a superb game once he moved to half back.

| I voted for him. And, in fact, at that precise moment I said he takes it over King now.

| I voted for him also.
So...would you start him in the halves should the need arise again?

| I'd rather start him there than move Monaghan from hooker, but that's about it.
We were lucky (well, probably not lucky as Smith must have planned it) to have Williams on the bench as otherwise we'd have had Vinnie in the centres. If I had to choose between Vinnie and Bridge at centre and stand off, I'd always go Bridge in the centres and Vinnie at half back. In fact, I'd have moved Grix to centre before putting Vinnie there.

| Mark Roberts had freakish pace for a forward..His kind only come along once in a blue moon. The most enjoyable try for me recently was the break away try Maguire scored against the convicts...Length of the field job in which none of the 16 stone Oz monsters could get anywhere near. They of course have *bulked up* in much the same way as some on here would like Kevin Penny to do with the consequent loss of pace. Maguire isn't all that pacey over a distance and I'd be disappointed if he'd scored a try like that against the Wire.
