I never got to see my dad play but heard all the stories both good and bad! The thing that stood out about my dad for me is that he wasn't just a dad, he was also my best friend. Gone but forever in my thoughts. Goodnight, godbless. x

Very nice words them Carl . Your dad was a great man mate always good for a laugh I was lucky to have known him both as a boss in my younger days and a friend socially. I will always remember Barry as 'Basher Briggs'. I was introduced to him by Cag Mather - another great player. We had some great times - he will be missed by many people. Rest in Peace. My thoughts and sincere condolences are with Jean and his family. Benny Byrne.
