I must say there are many more players in the squad I'd rather not be without than Paul Wood even now, loyal servant as he is.

People are idiots. Injury prone or not, he offers something and gives 100% every time he sets foot on that field. Always has, always will.

Showed some sparks.

My fear with Monaghan is that when he has to play all season from 9, he'll get bored and try to do too much. If he plays like he did on a few occasions towards the end of last season, then brilliant.

My fear with Monas, is if he plays all season at nine, he'll be insanely good, get man of steel, alot of interest from home & bye bye.

He's an exceptional nine. Creates so much room for others with what he does. He keeps folk around the ruck & one off from the ruck honest & creates doubt, allowing others more freedom.

I'm really looking forward to seeing him this year, as our nine, having had an offseason there, and the team 'getting' what he does.
