I think you're wrong, I think JWP is right and no, I don't know him.....
I can't remember Penny ever going into touch, he would always look for an offload option, his ability under the high ball is superb and his enthusiasm infectious. In the 2008 season despite taking unfair stick he made less errors than Chris Hicks and made more clean breaks. He also missed only 2 more tackles. His stats also compared very well with Chris Riley's that season, making 4 times as many offloads.
Don't get me wrong, Penny's frame is slight and his ball security in the tackle has been poor at times as well as the odd brain fart but, for me, what he brings far outweighs the downsidesI can't think of another winger in SL who scare opposition fans more given half a yard.
Starting winger for me but I suspect another season of toughening up in NL1 awaits him.
