Believe it was really bad this morning. 3 cars and a lorry in a smash just before Croft interchange

It's getting like that everyday now. Soon to take over from the M6 as the worst motorway in the North.

Always go through Burtonwood to get to work because the 62 is just so bad in a morning.

I thought it was quiet this morning at the Birchwood junction, obviously I know why now.

Also, a new 24/7 50mph limited is now in force between Bwood and Eccles on the 62 both ways with Avg speed cameras in place.

And just to add to all this meyhem, my train has been 20 mins late 3 days on the run

That's optimistic...apart from at weekends, reaching 50 either way on that particular stretch is very rare.

The main problem with the whole J10-J12 stretch of the M62 is that there is simply not enough road for the volume of traffic that uses it...A definite contender for road widening in the near future.

P.S. One more gripe....Why do fat, lazy parents insist on having to drive their precious children everywhere, thus creating gridlock at various stages of the day, throughout the town??

Apparantly the accident was caused by a moron who came speeding off the slip road and cut across 2 lanes, no lorry was involved, i was eaves dropping into a convo between 3 scouse girls in Warrington A&E who were involved in it.

...and it was a BMW of course!

I just gave up this morning, I was stuck on the slip road at gemini for 20 mins with nothing moving at all, I just headed for the services and went to work from home instead.

I think it will be back to the train again for me from Monday even though it is an absolutely shocking service!
