| when steve roach got sent off at oldham somebody from the crowd threw an apple at him,boy did he do his nut, finger wagging and being restrained all the way down the tunnel, great bloke though had a night with him in times square ,great company and dead honest,he told me he was only here for the money but you wouldn't have wanted to upset the blocker, used to get the aussie videos every weekend from bruche video shop just to watch his pugilistic attributes,he loved the biff.

| One player who hasn't had a mention, but played a significant role in some of the great battles of the 80's was Tony Humphries - sure he was sent off for butting Adrian Shelford who was making his Pie debut at Wilderspool.
Good call Antro Big Tony did get sent off in that match he was the first one off never one to shy away from a scrap can remember him running in and causing many a fight.

| Used to really enjoy some of the A team games in the 80's. Carl Webb and Andy Holbrook could be a really nasty pair and used to double up and flatten anything that came their way. Think Andy had to retire because of an eye injury, shame because the lad could really play with the ball as well as smash people without it.
