I'm with you on this one, I really do hope that I'm wrong but if we play twice as well as we did against France we will still get hammered. Having watched both games again and comparing the intensity, speed of play, defence, and passing skills it was like watching a premier match and a amatuer run out, to say we were nervous and that is why we played so poorly simply isn't good enough, our players havent had to travel half way around the world and play in unfamiliar surroundings yet we came out in the first half as though it was us suffering from an extreme case of jet lag. So what is the answer? I think in order to get the skills and intensity required the RFL need to find someway of resurrecting the tour down under, a couple of months playing in Australia/New Zealand against all comers etc might after a couple of years worth of tours eventually ignite the latent skills that are here, I dont deny we have talented players but to improve in any job/walk of life you need to be constantly challenged and it simply isnt happening. Look how much France have improved since being challenged by us! However when all said and done I will still be cheering the lads on Saturday and my money will be on a 6-10 pt win by us! You know what they say about a fool and his money.
