Thank you, Malc:

Quote: Peckerwood "I understand your point, but I think this is his first club where he knows he can achieve his potential. He knows Smith can transform his game, and under the apprenticeship of Briers and Monaghan he can become one of the country's best players.'"

I think what he can learn from Briers and Monaghan will be limited. He will probably end up being a far better player than either of them (now and when they were at their peak) within a couple of years (I would actually say he is better than Monaghan already). Myler has the potential to be a special player.

IMO Myler can be the best scrum-half this country has produced in the last 30 years. It was obviosu from teh first game that I watched him play. maybe I am a tad giddy, but quality scrum-halves are rare, while average back-rowers, centres, wingers and front-rowers are ten-a-penny.

True and that is why we have had to pay for one, as we did with Briers.

Quote: Rob Wire "With Richie Myler it has to be a slight concern that this is his 3rd club already at just 19 years of age, he didn`t show Widnes much loyalty and he didn`t see out his Salford contract either.

I`m not a fan of Offiah the agent in the same way i admired him as a player, Richie Myler got very unsettled at Salford well before ther season had ended, their are a lot of alleged rumours flying about about a certain persons involvement in this transfer.'"

Rob they went bust, stopped paying him and his contract became null and void for the following season. What was he meant to do?

Agree about Monaghan, I also think he is a better 7 right now than Monas, and that is why I am happy with the signing, as IMO he will improve the team straight away, never mind the future.

IMO, Briers at his peak is unplayable, however he has been at his peak far less than a genuine world class player should be, so if Myler can do some of th stuff that Briers can, but on a more regular basis, then I agree, he could be the genuine article.

It is nice that you are giving a positive opinion, rather than allowing any disappointment of him leaving your club to overshadow your judgement, as some have, perhaps understandably, done.
