| Breaking the salary cap??....I really can't see it happening anymore, at any club.
I mean, how long as the salary cap been going now??....10 years or so??....If anybody did break it now, I think being kicked out of the league should be a minimum, purely on the basis that the club can't be organised well enough to do its own sums properly.
In the opening years of the cap, I could understand the odd error, as clubs got used to it....I could just about accept a club cheating in order to stay in the league...(well, somebody was bound to try it!!)....However, right now, I'd like to think that clubs are professional and responsible enough to know they have a limit to stick to, and I firmly believe ALL clubs do....Just look at the Challenge Cup finalists and the most open league in years for proof....

| Last Tackle are a bit late aren't they? They'll be breaking the news of Reardon getting binned next week. Joke website, joke story.
We pay these guys what we like cos we can. We spunk fortunes on transfer fees cos we can. Bothered. If it brings a trophy or two, great. If not, who cares - we're living the opulent high life and we don't care. AND we're off to Wembley.
Life is beautiful.

| my grandads mate works for warrington wolves and apparently only half of briers salary is declared on the cap due to his 10 year service within the club; also youth players also only need to have a lower percentage of salary declared to encourage youth progression in the super league
some of the players in the club are paid less on a contract than originally estimated, but bonuses do not go on the salary cap so are paid by the club at the end of the season and is a tactic warrington have used since simon moran found the hole in the rfl rules. Matt king was originally estimated to be earning 300,000 a year but is actually around a third of this but the club put 200,000 of bonuses to him during the off-season which do not declare under the salary cap; saint helens have been using this for a number of years
