As part of the new TV deals last year it was confirmed that BBC would have one England game per year. Most assumed it would be a lesser game like the mid-season France game, but fair play to the RFL they have got the biggest game of the group stages, and possibly the comp on terrestrial TV which is a great move.

People have been wanting Test footy back on the BBC for years. I believe this will be the first time live since the 2000 World Cup.

lets hope they put together a panel and a commentary team to do it justice then. as much as i like ray french, for all that he has done within the game, i do feel they need to modernize their take on rugby league and get some serious examples of rugby league glitterati to give this the feel of the huge game it is
