If he carries on playing the way he is then let him stay until he’s 40. I find it strange that when older people are good at something we are so quick to want to push them on and make them retire. Age is only a number and if he keeps himself fit and in good shape why can’t he continue? The guy is by far our most influential and talented player with the rugby ball and in my opinion should be retained for at least one more year. However, I’m sure TS will asses the situation and make a balanced decision on who else is available out there.

We needed Carvell and Morley to get us into a position so that Briers could have a decent effort of a drop-goal, without those two Briers probably wouldn't have got near but apparently it's irrelevant what Morley and Carvell done because they didn't score the point that won the match.

I don't think anybody has disregarded the efforts of Carvell and Morley in particular.

Look at it another way. If Briers wasn't there, who would you have put your money on to slot it over?

Without Briers you would have to turn to Bridge and Monaghan who have both dropped goals in the past but they would still need to be within 40 meters to have a chance of putting it over, to say that what Morley and Carvell did meant nothing without Briers is absolutely ludicrous, we may as well say that without Morley we wouldn't have scored our final try and may have lost the game.

It was a team effort with the forwards doing the most work, that shouldn't be forgotten or put in a bad light just because one man scored the winning point.
