There was a game at Watersheddings in the 80s, horizontal sleet.
Also, a game at Post Office Road where Phil Blake scored when he lost his boot. It was at the time where quite a few main stands burnt down. It rained none stop and I remember standing next to a portacabin for cover.
The kids these days don't know how lucky they are!
Actually worse than the lot; the game at Knowsley Road (1993ish?) when the game was stopped after a few minutes due to the blizzard and howling wind that was blowing bits of the stand roof onto the pitch.
