Indeed. And I wonder if his addition to the squad is responsible for our improvement at marker defence? On that point - do people feel we have improved in that area, used to get regularly mentioned on here as one of our consistently poor areas.

The stats show the following positions for Warrington in marker tackles:

2003: 11th
2004: 9th
2005: 6th
2006: 9th
2007: 10th
2008: 8th
2009: 3rd

Higham is currently 5th in marker tackles in 2009 and was 9th last year.

So, it certainly seems like we did used to be poor there and have improved this year. Is this down to Higham? And how important do people feel it is?

Higham is a much better marker defender then Clarke. I'm surprised we are 3rd this year given our current position in the league.
