Briers has given a lot to the club but I worry that he thinks he IS the club. That is until Smith came along of course. I don't hold with rumours about what he does and doesn't do outside of the games. What I did see yesterday though was some suited players watching the match (Riley, Cooper, Vinnie) and Briers with his jacket and tie discarded. He looked unprofessional.So I guess the guy just doesn't help himself.

As many of you have suggested he is the best we have right now - despite the fact that he is inconsistent and has a poor kicking game. Sadly the players are programmed to play to his style.

I genuinely felt sorry for Monas on Monday. He was devastated after the game. He may not be running the game all that well, and yes he has been disappointing, but until players start running onto the ball, or getting up there with him, he will continue to look an idiot. Harrison is one player who hangs back and runs onto his passes - and he made some good yards and half breaks.

Regardless of who you play where, we have to play wiser. Possession is most definately the key. Therefore the kicking game is essential. Neither Briers nor Monas are completing well placed kicks, no wonder Rau and Hicks had a pop on the line.

i actually felt sorry for monas meself yesterday, i know he was crap, but can just tell that he has got the class but not bein able to use it with our current shower, i actually thought penny deserved mn of match yesterday, looked confident, went inside looking for the ball and the thing that caught my eye the most was the fact that he was following quite a lot of drives up waiting for the offload, (classics saints play), unfortunately he didnt get an offload

Monas has no class. He is probably the worst 7 in Superleague ATM.

thats because he's a number 9
playing scrum half he can't dictate play,set up moves etc,when he played outstanding for manly in the nrl semi final victory even though he played at scrum half he played the whole game like a hooker would doing most of his work from dummy half.

But even when he did get an offload from the forwards, as he would get playing 9, his decision making is still so slow, and usually wrong.

I don't know what his best position is, but I'd like him to find it away from our club.
