Fair enough, keep Briers to the end of the season, because he's the best of a ridiculously poor bunch....However, get rid once the season is up, so that we can truly start afresh.
The form guide is obvious....Wire with Briers will always be also-rans. |

Honestly??.....There isn't a player at the club who I would be upset about if they left, so I'm guessing that means all of them...
Realistically, that isn't going to happen. However, Tony Smith has to find 4 or 5 class players who can inspire the average players we presently have into some sort of team.....In the same way Burrow, McGuire and Sinfield are classy enough so that run of the mill guys like Jones-Buchannan and Ablett look half decent at Leeds, or average players like Gardner and Gilmour can be integral parts of a successful Saints side. |

I hate Briers with a passion for his arragance, but I was absolutely delighted to see he was missing from your squad today, and even now I think,fwiw, that you would have won today with him in your team. He seems to add that little bit of guile,skill and unpredictablity that was missing today.
I've watched Wire 4 times this season now and Monaghan doesn't offer anything like Briers does
