Shows the lack of technical specialisation in rugby league compared to rugby union. Ruben Wiki played centre and prop in league, so has Ben Westwood. But a union centre would never survive the front row in top flight union, Farrell wouldn't have either.

How predictable and a bit boring now..............
....however I do agree with you that it shows union as a very compartmentalised game with little opportunity for players to move into different positions as their game/physique develops. Thanks for pointing out another RL advantage! |

Not sure it's an advantage, it's just a difference.
I'm not sure the tendency for RL centres and second-rowers to be seen as almost interchangeable is necessarily a good thing. |

I think you're probably right - not an advantage but a difference - certainly not a disadvantage as it was apparently portrayed in Sally's original post. It just gets a bit dull and wearing - the constant apologista posts, be it related to union, wigan or whatever |
