I wouldn't play them in the reserves at all, drop them completely, as he did with Kev Penny. (not that I agreed with that scenario in that particular case..as i actually think playing with reserves will help rebuild Kev's confidence.

Why should the young ones lose their place to someone who isn't performing.... unless they replace them in the 1st team of course..

I don't think King has a problem with Penny at all. I just don't think the timing is there with them two. They don't read each other well.

I don't think he has a problem with Penny i think he has a problem passing to the left. I suppose it doesn't help when he tucks the ball under his right arm so quickly.

Maybe they should try him at right centre or outside Hicks as i don't think Gleeson is fully fit at the moment and bring Penny in outside Bridge.

I'd like to see him given a shot at proper first team action.

For me both Gaz O'Brien (a really good prospect and only 17...) and McCarthy were outstanding at weekend...The young half back had a brillant kicking game, he very mature for his years, and his lightn weight doesn't seem to be a problem at all.
McCarthy never takes a back step, and stay on the field for the full 80 mins the majority of the time.
