I haven't seen the replay and didn't have a good view - so if it was a bad tackle then yes he deserves a ban end of.

But for the Warrington fans calling him a liability and infuriating in this thread - get real! It was quite amusing that the chief culprit is the same poster criticising long term fans for venting their frustration at players displaying a distinct lack of effort on another thread - something you could never accuse Westwood of.

He has been easily our most consistent player for the last three seasons, adding a great deal to our defence and attack.

Players like Westwood are always going to play on the edge and every now and again get it wrong and for that they should pay the price. But I'd much rather have Westwood in the side than not.

Reading comments from some fans of other teams, you would think that their players are all whiter than white with never so much as a wrong word said, never mind a bad hit.

What made me laugh was someone on the VT started a thread about the Westwood tackle and fair enough, if that floats their boat, but the funny thing is, as soon as Fakir produces a similar tackle, the angered folk of the RL fraternity disappeared and it turned into a latest score thread.
