Would Hanley want to do it? If not, what are the alternatives if Lowes was to be sacked?

If were going to sack Lowes then Hanley would be my first choice.

We need someone who will command respect and get rid of the players who aint interested or wont show the required commitment or work ethic.

The current set up is a shambles.

Hanley and Mr Moran are very close, i expect he will be in the hot seat soon enough. Jimmy as great a guy as he is doesnt have the respect of the supporters and will soon be out the door.

Would rather have Tony Smith.

Better than Lowes though, anyone is better than Lowes.

I agree over the World Cup, but he did ok at club level with Leeds, I would still be happy to give him a chance at Warrington.

I don't see what the big thing with Hanley is. Sure he is one of the most coverted players in the game and he has coached a GF winning team. I just can't see him being in it for the long term. If his appointment is to settle the ship and bring some sort of respect back from the players and fans well maybe a good idea. IMO 18 months and he would be on his way onto a new venture. I would like to be proved wrong and he turns out be the guy that turn the players around into a champion team.

Oh I'm not saying he should stay, just that it's a bad time to be looking for a top class coach. I don't know much about Hanley's links to the board or whatever, just wondering if everyone's sure he would take the job. If not, who else is available? It's a bit of a mess for any coach to be walking into, since there'd be so little scope for getting your own players in, working on your own patterns etc.
