| As disapointing as last night was, my view is we can't really make any sort of informed judgement on prospects and improvement until this first 'quarter' of the league has taken place. We have:
Saints A
Catalans H
Wakey A
Leeds H
London A
Hull KR H
Celtic H
There is only one game there you would pick as a banker, and that is the last one.
What would the expectations be for these games, considering they feature a match up against a team who stuffed us twice last year, a traditional bogey fixture against Wakey, the Champions, a tricky fixture in London and a game against a rapidly improving team who have beaten us in the last 2 home games, albeit the last one was a friendly.
To me, a solid sign of improvement from last year, and evidence of a more consistent attitude, would be winning all the home fixtures, as well as sorting Wakey out for a change. Of course, it's perfectly feasible we may not win a game until Celtic!
That leads nicely into the Easter fixtures, and again two very winnable games against Salford and Cas.

| You were 14-0 up after 50 minutes! How many teams were 14 points ahead of Saints last year. Mentally you were poor, after Saints pulled a try back, you didn't pick yourselves up again and when Saints got their second, there was only going to be one winner.

One final point - the idiotic commentary on Sky. They talked for 10 minutes about the dodgy play the ball for Highams try but not once did they mention the fact that the whole of the Saints team were in fact off side at the time... Saints chuck the ball around and it's 'brilliant stuff', we do it and all you get is 'they got away with that'! When are we going to replace them with ex-players who know the game like they have in the NRL?'"
Forgive me if I am wrong, but hasn't Mike Setphenson played for GB in a World Cup winning team and coached a side to the Championship as well as playing with distinction in Australia. Stevo's bufoonary and fake-contraversialism is just an act. Who would you suggest replaces him, an ex-player who knows the game, like Johnathan Davies?

Replace Eddie Hemmings with a proper commentator like Jon Champion and replace Stevo with either Terry O`Connor or Barry Mac. The current dross has run its course, it sounds out dated and it doesn`t do the image of our game much good.

32195.jpg R.I.P Captain Marvel (Mike Gregory 1964 - 2007)
Sportsman, Gentleman, Hero
LEGEND
We’ve waited too long for this day to come
Thirty thousand Wires standing as one
All travelling down, a sight to be seen
Man, woman and child sharing one dream
Tension in the crown as kick off draws near
Mixed emotions: excitement and fear
Restlessness as we huddle like cattle
Then Morley appears ready for battle
The rest of the team follow to fight to the death
The hooter sounds and we all hold our breath
Again the fans will have their own role
To sing and show passion deep from the soul
There may be times the players feel beat
Feeling too weak to achieve this huge feat
With their hopes and dreams they’ll look to the skies
To see a Primrose and Blue haze in front of their eyes
Then comes the roar; we never stop believing
This is one relationship we won’t be leaving
Cut us we bleed like everyone, that’s true
The difference being we bleed Primrose and Blue!:32195.jpg |

And?
And if it is just an act as you claim then why should we settle for a plank who goes about his business in such a manner?
And anyway, your opinion is irrelevant after the tripe you spouted about Millward the other year..... You know what I'm referring to....

1883.jpg Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

I'd go as far to say they are as damaging as Eddie Waring.
