Totally disagree; Jimmy stated his intension to rest the 1st team regulars months ago. The rest gives the players a chance to recharge after a busy World Cup year…a wise move.
The youngsters didn’t perform as well as we all would like…(hay hoe)..The game will act as learning curve for the young lads.
From what I understand Jimmy has got the team fully fit after the most rigorous pre-season training for years with the official training camp still to come. The first game in Feb will be explosive! Come on the Wire!
Good luck Jimmy and the boys!

1883.jpg Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

More realistically, I would like Kear. He always seems to be able to produce a team far stronger than the sum of its parts (the exact opposite to what Lowes and Cullen are/were able to do). If he could manage the same at Warrington I would be very happy indeed.
I have a sneaky feeling that the board will give Lowes more time than any Wire fan will find acceptable before replacing him with Nigel Wright who will keep Tony Smiths seat warm.
Manly's problems stem from their two benefactors falling out.

I don't think that he would be of much use to us now.

Remember Paul Cullen did the same thing with no money around 2002/2003 and the team really did play better than the sum of it's parts and got us into the playoffs for the first time.
What Paul Cullen seemed to struggle with is managing the egos of apparent world class players.
Jimmy Lowes just appears completely clueless.

| G, I seem to recall you shaking Paul Cullen's hand and sincerely thanking him after the (first/official) final game at Wilderspool.
I think the fact that we'd much sooner be digging into our pockets and having a whip round for Lowes' taxi says it all tbh.
