I’m hopeful with a full preseason another couple of games here & there this season we will see a different animal next year. Tbh he does look abit to big, rangy (and clumsy) to be a centre in SL but I suppose time will tell, he might be more suited at second row but he will definitely need to improve his fitness. Like many have spotted on here he was blowing hard after 20 mins and struggled to keep the full 10 on occasions, fingers crossed it’s an experiment that comes off!

I remember watching the first few games of Tuigamala at Wigan and thinking what an unfit pudding they'd signed. Hope Luther turns out half as 'bad'.

Too early to write Burrell off yet, that said he does have a lot of work to do. Agree with the second row comments and maybe even prop.

It does seem ridiculously early to be passing judgement on Burrell, but he certainly hasn't impressed me so far.

In contrast both Thewliss and Dean (despite his errors), looked really promising. With Thewliss, its not so much his talent but more his determination and effort. Plus he is used to captaincy and hence responsibility. Dean in contrast can look silky smooth in his movement and ball handling, but atm needs the time and space to work his plays. I am sure once he gets used to the speed and lack of space at SL level he can be really good.

When opportunity arises, play Luther on the wing as to allow him time to focus on positional areas.

A bit more game time & he might turn into a Conrad Hurrell type of centre .
