| Wire have finished top of the league and can be proud of that achievement. That it is a true achievement is marked by the award of one of only three trophies in top level RL. However, this league is 'won' by contesting and winning the league play-offs in the Grand Final. Winning that makes a club Super League Champions - the 'winners' of the Super League.
BTW, I think Sally C is being a bit unfair to fans in general referring to them as 'having achieved nothing'. Fans may not win pro-sports trophies but lots will have many true achievements in life - successful families, businesses, charity works, amateur sports comps, medals, elections, school governorships, life-saving medical careers, fire service, military honours and so on. Just because a person was not born with a high-level sports talent does not mean they cannot achieve anything worthwhile.
