Quote Raymond Pennington="Raymond Pennington"No need to be sarcastic. I was simply stating thart plans should have been made with Tesco's to ensure the environment is protected and ensuring some greenspace was built in with the stadium.'"
Tesco's the biggest supermarket in the country, they dictate towns and make them 'supermarket towns'. We have become that, in order to get things from Tesco, you have to give a lot. We gave them loads of land and asking for 'green space', just so you and 'El Casuals' can take pictures of yourselves in your Sergio Tacchini trackies in the sun, takes the mick. Of course, that was your obvious intention.
As lovely as it sounds, a picnic area just isn't possible. People can't have everything. Our stadium is often praised because it's easily accessible, there is plenty of parking, a train station a minute away and it is a minute away from the town centre and bus station. In order to make a stadium in the town centre work, you have to give up things like 'green space'. I'd gladly keep the great transport and access over a picnic area for filthy smokers to ruin.
