If there's one lesson from the last few seasons its that starting off at a hundred miles an hour is absolutely no guarantee that you'll win anything at the end of the season. With Myler on board I'd guess Smith will want to work on combinations and different tactics in the early games, and he'll probably be far less concerned with the scorelines than most fans.
We have these type of expectations every year. Look back to the threads at the start of every season when Cullen was in charge, the usual predictions included being our year to beat Saints, top three finish, at least a final.
Hopefully we will be better than we have been in the past but a top 5 finish and no silverware is more likely than the delusions bomberwells has.
i expect us to murder them, if we don't and just win by a point that'll do. If we lose i'll just be mildly disappointed, 1st game of the season we can recover
