Enjoyed the Leeds v hull kr game,it's obvious as to who'll finish runners up behind Wigan in the league and grand final..and it won't be leeds I was enjoying it too on Now TV then got the "technical error" then Sky just started showing adverts, then I gave up. Amazing to think that Hull KR finished flat last in the league in 2020, then 6th in 2021, 8th in 2022 under Tony Smith. Also rans, making up the numbers. Then the money landed and so did Willie Peters in 2023. Made the CC final and semi finals of the playoffs in 2023, in 2024 made the CC semi finals (losing to Wigan) and the GF (also losing to Wigan). Signs are in 2025 they will make both finals. Progression from also rans to genuine title contenders. Exciting time to be a Hull KR fan. Shows what can be done in a short time frame when the recruitment, coaching and organisation are all on point.

Peters is bang on for Hull kr and Hull FC have the right man for the situation they were in with cartwright. I'm sure there are better technical coaches around but he was exactly what was needed at Hull FC. I know people laughed when myler took over as DOR at Hull but he's done an excellent job in his first few months. Recruitment has been spot in and the backroom operation has transformed. Still a long way to go but the culture change in such a short space of time has been amazing. I'm not sure that Burgess was ever the right man at wire. A massive gamble which doesn't seem to be paying off

| Too early to write off Sam. Remember he has come in as a rookie coach into the established Wire hierarchy and culture.
He has to work with an ex-water carrying CEO who is only interested in fads, marketing, and seeing his name in the press and our 2nd most important position, DOR, is filled by a prop forward who spent his entire playing career in a sub 50% win ratio Warrington side. Add in that we have a chairman who dabbles in recruitment matters, it's hardly an optimal set up is it?
True that Hull FCs recruitment of late seems better than that of Warrington and Myler seems to be doing an effective job as DOR, but my point was about the transformation of Hull KR. It's very similar to the transformational change that Tony Smith brought in quickly from 2009-2012.
Whether Hull KR can break the hegemony of Wigan/Saints/Leeds remains to be seen. I for one, will be hoping they do. The game needs it.

Yes green eyes at Hull KR perhaps. As we are 6 points and miles off them. They have done very well, with some shrewd signings and a great coach in Peters. With the exception of Lewis (Who they only got by default because Hull FC rejected him), they haven`t produced any of their current 1st team. This situation is completely unstainable. Doubt if Peters will stay in Super League, when the NRL clubs show interest in him, so their recent improvement could be built on sand.

Assistant coach at South Sydney under Bennett, then assistant coach at Newcastle then Hull KR. Re sustainability - why could they not continue what they are doing? Quite a number of Hull born players in their overall squad.

Yes, there are Hull born players in their team but I doubt if the current FC regime will be as unprofessional as their previous one and will retain the young players instead of discarding them. As I mentioned previously, except for Lewis all the other Hull born players in the KR team were from the FC Academy.
