Don't know if this has been posted before, told on Saturday that Westerman is keen to sign for us with the clubs negotiating a fee. Anyone else heard this?

I heard this too. Interesting. Who is leaving Warrington at the end of the season? He's not lived up to his 'future Scully' billing as yet, but its difficult to at a small club with no ambition so the parallels are there with when Scully joined Saints.

I hope it's true, a quality loose forward is what we need. They could have done some sort of deal with Mathers had this come to light sooner.

I believe Vinnie Anderson, Matty Blythe and Richie Mathers are the only players not contracted for next year.

Blythe for me has found his level so i'd release him, he's always looked like a rabbit in the headlights in the Wire team under TS.

Blythe to Leigh and with Penny seemingly out of TS's plans that would free up the room for Westerman easily i would think. Is Vinnie staying another year ?

Vinnie is one of three players not contracted for next year. If Vinnie does leave then Westerman would be a logical replacement.

Westerman would be another accomplished goal kicker.
