That works out at an average squad age of just 23.8 years old.
Could this even be the youngest Super League squad ever?

32990_1435324474.jpg First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_32990.jpg |

| It must be Salford's youngest SL squad by some distance. As for SL in general I'd say Wigan have always had young evolving squads over the years.
This is obviously the stamp of Tim Sheens and wanting a hungrier, more energitic bunch with a lot less miles on the clock. It seems we are starting to plan and build for the future and thinking ahead beyond one season. We have a lot more players now with the potential to improve rather than deteriorate. It seldom seems to work signing big name 30+ year old players who have tasted success at big clubs. These players move into a new environment and their performances generally go downhill.
Tell me how many players 30+ have Wigan, Leeds or Saints signed over the years that hasn't come from the NRL?

| Give this side a couple of seasons to settle and gel, with a few additions over that period and I think the future looks very rosey

| Can't see Joseph featuring much this year TBH, baring a glut of injuries or everyone playing that crap.
Does anyone think he has also been brought in to assist in the conditioning side of things....maybe one of his selling points.

| I was looking at his stats for the 2014 season (he missed 2nd half of 2015 through injury) and they were pretty good.
He would have got in Salford's top 10 in 2015 for tackles made, carries, metres gained and average gain.
I think he's always caused us problems in the past. He's a reet big unit and will add some beef/biff.
If he gets fit and stays fit he could be a decent signing.

| He doesn't do big minutes though, more of an impact player and with the reduced interchanges this year not really the sort you need in the bench, unless you have no other options.
But obviously TS is more qualified than I am to make that call

| I think Joseph is in there for another option. He ll be wheeled out for certain games when his bulk in burst is required.
