| i.e. today's Men:
two statements re the Parish resignation need an alert on here:
Sean Long (on the back page) is stated to be "dismayed " by the resignation: in the pull-out, Parish states "I am disappointed, my new assistant Sean long is pretty filthy about it - I am leaving behind a really good bunch of players who I greatly enjoyed workig with, along with a first-class support staff"
Will we keep Long?
A later paragraph states "dismay was expressed by the fact that Reds had been back in pre-season training for a month and had still not been given an official training kit.
They were taking their kit home for washing ..."
What? And we were moaning we could not buy the new season's top!

| Folly are run better than this, what is going on?
but on second thoughts this is quite normal because we normally are not back in training until January so I bet the training kit has been ordered for then, Matt bringing the players back early must have taken Simms by surprise, he did look a little shocked when Matt stated that he was doing that at the FR meeting last season, Simms must have thought he was joking and so didn't prepare for the early training.

| I guess a new coach would want to bring in his own staff, and having Long as assistant may not be everyones cup of tea! It appears that Salford need some discipline instilling in the squad, I really do not see Long as the man to do this. New coach, new staff, Salford needs to embrace the change, seems as though Simms should be part of the change round too!

| So many disturbing points in that article but perhaps the most perplexing is the confusion over whether Parish had actually signed his contract. We've got Simms on GMR stating that no-one from Manly's been in contact with the club to ask for permission to speak to him, well I'm no expert in employment law but I'm guessing that if the guy's not a contracted employee that really wouldn't be a problem.
FFS, I'm guessing we made sure McRae signed his 47 and a half year (at least that's how long it felt like) contract.

| I'm flabberghasted at the state of the club if only half of that article is correct.
It's no wonder he walked and it wouldn't surprise me if others did as well.
Stand up JW, Tarry, Simms and take a bow you are awesome!!!!!!!!!

| Well it's looking like the Willows mafia have struck again first Trish tries to shake the admin up and she's gone now Parish tries to Shake the club up and he's gone.
The one change we now need more than anything is a change of attitude at the top because if not it will be another don't rock the boat type coaching appointment and I fear that even the blind faithful will abandon the club soon

In Employment Law a contract does not have to be signed to be a contract, If MP has accepted money for the work he has entered into a contract with the club, a piece of paper is a nicety not a necessity.
So he is contracted to the club but only on a pay as you go by the looks of it.
