Well as a Mancunian myself (Wythenshawe) I generally include Salfordians and Mancunians together as people from my home 'community', although I would always acknowledge the separate identity of Salford as a city in its own right. IMO it is just a great feature of the local area to have two great cities within visual distance of each other.
Before anybody starts 'why do you support the plastic scousers then' because my family are Warringtonians so when I started getting taken to games aged 9, it was to Wilderspool and so I was supporting them as a kid. I would have probably gravitated to Salford or Swinton otherwise but when you start supporting a team as a kid you can't change so its Wire for me.

Everyone in positions of power in SL is waiting for Warrington to become the new Melbourne, can you hand on heart say you are 100% convinced that the books are'nt at least being lightly boiled if not fully cooked?. When a player like Myler suddenly starts tootling around in a brand new beamer when the Warrington owner was courting is it any wonder that people have doubts.
I'm not a Warrington hater as I do think that you'll win the double this year as your playing the best rugby, what I do think might scupper you in the league is lapses like you had on Sunday, get to the play offs and have one and it could be curtains. |
