Quote: Michigan red "I see the benefits of Mitsubishi as this.
Salford have a genuine powerhouse company on board, to simply be associated with someone of the magnitude of Mitsubishi is massive for the club.
Other potential sponsors look at the quality of exisiting sponsors, they look and think there is obviously something or worth here we should get involved.
Mitsubishi will without doubt be involved on game day, more so you'd see them bringing their own corporate sponsors and you'd hope someone with the Docs business savvy would schmooze with them.
We are near one of the largest industrial areas in Europe, Mitsubishi isn't just fast sports cars, they are more involved in heavy industry. Your a supplier/manufacturer on TP looking at using Mitsubishi products and you see the Salford name on the website, can't on any level hurt.
The cars, obviously the club gets a much better deal than they would do without the tie in, every little helps.
If the club used it's head I'd look at doing something to get every season ticket used at every game, get a vehicle from Mitsubishi and say that at half time during the last home game there is a draw made, the winner gets a the vehicle either to keep or on a years free lease. Obviously only those who have attended every game can be in the draw.
Sure there are loads more.
I hate to belittle Wakefield as I have a genuine affection for them (and hatred of their noisy neighbours) but can you see anyone other than Sarsons Vinegar and Tizer looking good next to the Chippy sponsors?'"
Not often you're right and you're wrong again. The main shirt sponsor is Backstage Academy. The Wetherby Whaler is just a one off for a pre season friendly game. Do keep up.
