| Sounds promising reading that interview.
My only concern if he buys the club....how are we going to come up with a song for him with a name like that...

| After reading that article, the most encouraging thing he said was “We would not be finishing in bottom three like last year.” Not so much the statement, more the "We".
The fact that he's got the former CEO of NZ RL already doing Simms job is encouraging and after looking at his Business, EuroMaTech, you'd have to say that behind the scenes is going to get a considerable overhaul. For the better. A guy that runs a world-class seminar training company teaching other business how to do it properly at the highest level sounds like a breath of fresh air when it comes to off-field management.
I feel like I'm going to wake up at some point and this will have all been a cruel joke...

| Quote: Iain "An actual interview with Dr Koukash:
It's all going to go tits up isn't it. It always does. We'll all try to stay grounded, to stay realistic, but then stuff like this will come out. We'll try to resist - because we all know what's coming - but, desperate for the slightest glimmer of success after decades of resigned failure, we just won't be able to. We'll reluctantly start to let ourselves believe. Maybe...just maybe. Then it'll all go tits up.
I properly hate being a Salford fan.

| Come on Stouffer,
do you want to be the Watneys Red (Wigan), Whitbread (Warrington), or InBev (Leeds)
or
Thornbridge (Salford)?

| It's getting harder to be pessimistic about it all which is obviously a good thing.

" No this can't be right , we're not that lucky "
That's what I've been thinking. After all unless you were a serious Flat Racing punter it would have been ' Dr Who? - knew about him before Monday '.When his name was mentioned .
then who would have anticipated a millionaire into the sport of kings would want to be involved in TTG, and then the runt of the SL Litter - Salford Reds ?
To say the last couple of years supporting reds have been a Rollercoaster, and the sickening feeling following the Church Meeting is a mild understatement.
Trying not to clutch at straws is difficult + the thought of being gratefull to Nigel Wood / RFL , and possibly Eamon McManus if this comes off is sticking in the craw.. never a dull moment .

| In fact, the constant waiting before Xmas was bad, even though we all knew exactly what was going to happen. The waiting now, after being drip-fed positive news (in itself a novel feeling) is positively sickening. The sooner the deal is Public, the sooner I can sleep properly again. Just like others on here, I feel like something is going to happen to kick us back down after almost getting back up.
You'd think we would become hardened to this being Salford fans...

| I think the deal is almost done, the only thing that they will be meeting about is the stadium rental agreement he'll probably want to make a better deal with that, and to be honest by the sounds of it in his interview he's very confident the deal will be completed in days, to hear that from a news reporter is one thing but to hear it from the man himself makes itbanwhole lot more encouraging.
