Don`t come on here talking sense mate,the <EXPLETIVE REMOVED> will be on to you.

| Quote: Horatio Yed "How can Sale dictate anything?
THEY DON'T OWN ANYTHING, THEY ARE TENANTS LIKE SALFORD!
If Person A owns a house and he lets person B and person C stay there for a fee, person A still owns it.
B&C just occupy it, they have no say on a sale of said property and if B doesn't like living with C then that's tough luck as it's not up to him who lives there.
Now lets just say
B
everyone's a comedian eh
Guessing you missed the bit where i said "if Sale take over" at the beginning of my original post meaning if they were in control of our club, they could dictate to us. and i never mentioned sale of the property either
So, to use your example
Person A owns the house but person B lets person C stay there for a fee. Person A doesn't care where the rent comes from, but person B sets the basic ground rules for person C. i.e they form a contract just like person A and person B
Now lets just say
B= Sale
C= Salford
or is that too simple for you......

| Because it would give them primary tenancy in a fantastic stadium (along with any future revenue streams it and the surrounding developments may generate)
Because they could take the best bits of the competition for their own benefit (i.e things like our youth development, the schools work/community stuff we do etc)
Because Wilky said he'd sell up to the right person (who may say one thing now and do something completely different shortly after, like Kraft did with Cadbury)
I don't mind Sale sharing the stadium if it means a reduced cost to Salford which we can spend elsewhere. My fear, as i've written elsewhere on this forum, is what will become of us if further down the line Sale take us over

| I'm sure some sort of covenant would be drawn up if that was to happen, i really wouldn't worry.

| I think the problem with Sale moving in is that it'd become harder to attract new support. Sale aren't a bad side, and if they push on to become a 'North West super club' then I reckon people would rather go and watch them instead of Salford in the bottom 4 of Super League (hopefully not of course, but given what I've seen so far, I can't see any other outcome this season). Plus, don't we need an average of 8000 to break even, or something along those lines?

| Quote: northmanchesterdevil "Sale bought the ground off Stockport County because the football club were going bankrupt.
The two scenarios are totally different.'"
The football club started hitting trouble after Sale had moved in. They've also been left to rot since, despite all kinds of promises that the deal would benefit both clubs.
Hopefully the fact that it's the stadium company that own the place will stop anything from happening. But if they ever get into trouble... No, not worth thinking about.
