| Can't blame him if he wants to go to a bigger club.
His best games for us were from centre.
He's undoubtedly a talent but I just have a sneaking feeling he's not quite as good as some think .
I could be wrong,we will see !

So will Stef get a roasting like Robinson, Coley and Myler get? i for one dont want to see Stef go, but isnt him keeping quiet like what Myler did seems that he has already gone!.

| Players come and go. It would be a shame to lose Ratch but life goes on. I truly think if he does go he would be missed less than you think. He's clearly talented but has not commanded a regular position in the team (For lots of reasons, I know) Our core positions of 1, 6, 7, and 9 are pretty strong and we wouldn't be losing one of those core positions. Of course it's nice to have the best players fill the rest of the team, but he's a young lad and he should do what's best for his career.
Some people on here make out that there will protests in the street, wailing and tears from the Salford masses if he goes. Just like the same people said about Myler (Who was a core position) and when he left, what happened?
It really wasn't that bad.
Players come and go, it's part of the game. What we have to hope for is that if he does go, our new coach will bring someone else in to make us forget about Ratch and concentrate on Salford City Reds...

| I would hate to see Stef go (especially to Warrington) but with how he has been treated over the years can you really blame him ?
It is sad to see a home grown talent leave, but that is life.
Myler going meant we got Dan Holdsworth and Stef will hopefully be replaced by someone of similar stature.
If he does go to Warrington it will be very interesting to see the Myler/ Stef combination, it was not a sparkling success at Salford was it ?
Lets just hope against Warrington this weekend he does not have the same attitude as Myler did at the same period a couple of years back
p.s Anyone seen Stef at any Music concerts, or suddenly apopearing with a brand new car.

I think we'd look at him playing fullback when Brett Hodgson retires. I might be wrong, I think TS would look at using his skill set joining the attack.

...and you so eloquently make the point that's been said on here and other threads before that Ratchford is undoubtedly a talent, yet he can't force his way to a regular outing at 6 for us and wouldn't for your lot either. As I see it, the only difference between Stef at Salford and Stef at Warrington/Wigan/Hudds/Leeds/Saints will be the money he earns, and, I absolutely cannot blame him for moving on for money, RL is a short career.
If he stays fab, if he doesn't then that's ok too in my book, we'll all have to wait and see what happens but I for one will just be happy that I saw him grace the red shirt and always gave his best.

| I always strongly suggest that any club knows a player is moving on that they not play again. Keep him out and let someone else stake a claim for his spot.
Nothing personal against Steff or anyone I just hate the RL system of a player siging for another club mid season and not moving on immediately.
